On Friday, November 23, 2012, the sale of Finest & Rarest Wines from a Famous Private Cellar at Christie’s Hong Kong realised HK$29,376,985/US$3,810,195, and marked the start to the Hong Kong autumn 2012 auction season. The single-owner sale of wines from a European collector presented collectors with a variety of classic vintages, ranging from 1825 to 2009. Comprising a diverse selection of mature Bordeaux from 28 of the leading châteaux, as well as an assortment of excellent Rhône, the sale attracted buyers with a broad range of collecting tastes. The sale of Fine & Rare Wines: Vintage Burgundy Treasures from Europe will take place on Saturday, November 24 at 10:30am, followed by the sale of Fine & Rare Wines on Sunday, November 25 at 11:30am.
