Christie’s is proud to announce the first U.S.-based Private Sales Exhibition for Andy Warhol at Christie’s, its multi-year, multi-platform partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Titled Andy Warhol in Minneapolis and held March 16-23, 2013, at Aria at the Jeune Lune, the industrial-chic event space in the heart of the Minneapolis Warehouse District, owned by art collector Peter Remes. The week-long selling exhibition will make available to the public a curated group of more than 50 paintings, photographs, prints and works on paper by the Pop Art superstar, including a selection of works originally featured in Warhol’s 1975 show in Minneapolis.
